That doesn't look good...  Are the calling for evacuations?

Hope you make it through OK.  We'll be thinking of you.

No, they won't do any of that until it gets in the gulf...then we'll see. I'm a little nervous about this one...

I wish it would go back out to sea because I know we have many BYT'ers all through the Gulf Coast but I don't think that will happen sadly.

The Riveria Drive in in Key West regrets to announce that we will have a, hopefully brief, internission while we deal with Ike. Saturday Night's schedule will go on as planned, ( In honor of Ike, "Key Largo", followed by " Six String Samurai", with selected shorts.) Sunday will be spent taking down the screen, and considering the option of running away!
Good luck to ya'll!

That's the spirit, Riviera Drive In!  I like your style.  But give yourself time to get out of Dodge if you need to.

Dalefan and others down there, we'll be thinking about you.  Be prepared and be safe.

Cat 3 I can handle...4 or higher and I think about evacuating.

Stay safe down there in the keys.

stay safe everyone.
it would be really tough being without electricity for a week or more and having to rely on a generator, the longest i ever had to use mine was 8 hours.

I bought a converter so if I have to, I can show movies off my car battery.

We're hoping the back side isn't too dirty.  Can't even think about going outside past 4:00 p.m.  The mosquitos are so thick from Gustav, if my expired ACT II popcorn topping won't kill us West Nile will.

we made it through ok in Key West. Lots of rain and wind, a little flooding, and the power went out a few times. We re-open the theater tomorrow night. But Ike never got closer than 80 miles from us. The folks on the Gulf coast won't be so lucky. Good luck to ya'll. Stay safe.

Glad to hear Riviera Drive in is still intact and safe.  Hope all our friends in Texas and the rest of the gulf are OK.

And I hope Ike doesn't blow all those mosquitoes up into Illinois.

In anticipation of the storm arrival we showed "The Perfect Storm"  last night here at the crazy water backyard cinema.

Great visual effects BTW!

Here in North Central Texas we were fortunate that Ike took a more easterly turn when it hit land. I figured the rest of the weekend would be a wash but with Ikes path missing west of the D/FW area,  my back yard is begging for a movie tonight.

I hope everyone affected by this monster this morning, today,  and in the next few days,  recovers safely and with not to much property loss.
